The East Riding Local Involvement Network – or LINk – is commited to improving local health and social care services in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
That body now has a new elected leadership of 8 individuals and voluntary/community organisations (see ERY LINk Website for results).
The new 16 strong Steering Group now has the job of investigating issues raised by local people and making recommendations for improving local health and care services.
The first issues to be investigated by the LINk will be GP appointments (difficulties in getting them!) and transport (difficulties in getting to hospitals).
This Blog hopes to follow the activities of the LINk and promote its work and the opportunities for local people to get involved – and importantly to report on the difference that the organisation makes to the quality of services delivered to the public.
