Firstly, is a print of the King of Holderness – Saint Augustine’s Church in Hedon – looking resplendent in the snow. Taken in February 2018, this will be printed on Fotospeed panoramic photographic paper (210mm x 594mm), and will only be offered as a limited edition of ten prints. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of excellent photos are available of this beautiful church, but buy this print as a piece of fine art, and know it is exceptional.
Your print will cost £60 £30 sale price (plus any postage and packing costs if applicable), and Hedon Blog will donate £15 of each sale to Saint Augustine’s church funds.
Hull graffiti hunt in Hull, January 2025.
Just a simple monochrome collage of graffiti artwork, but one that says so much about the times we live in. The individual photos were taken in January on a graffiti hunt in Hull. Their meaning is open to your own interpretation. For me, the print expresses dissatisfaction with Facebook, while acknowledging that things (good and bad) still cause controversy! It raises questions: why is the photographer riding atop the canine? Why is Donald Trump depicted as a baby in his prison cell? There is also a sense of fun as we watch the three blind mice at Christmas – “See how they dance!”, and it all blows the robot’s mind! We don’t know who painted the original artworks, but congratulations to the artists for their talent and ability and for putting them in the public realm.
