UPDATE: The Public Meeting on Saturday morning (9 September) was well-attended with around 50 people present. A MS3 map showing the location of each of the 500 poles intended for the area was produced which shocked people. An action-group will coordinate activities based on the ideas put forward at the meeting.

Debate in Parliament from Hansard about the installation of Telecommunications Infrastructure (initiated by Dame Diana Johnson MP for Hull North Wednesday 15 March 2023):
THE PROPOSALS by MS3 Networks to install telegraph-style utility poles across Hedon and Preston South has stirred up opposition under the slogan “No to the MS3 Networks Poles”. This is one of those rare times when local people have come together to protest. It would seem unwise for the broadband company to press ahead given such strong feelings amongst its potential customer base. The scene yesterday morning Thursday 7 September 2023 saw up to 200 people protesting, with media attending.
Informal notes of the meeting between MS3 Networks and Hedon Town Council that took place on Thursday morning 7 September 2023:
Had these notifications put up all over Brough too. Why would we want unsightly poles put up everywhere?? If this does go ahead MS3 is not a provider I would even put as a consideration for fibre broadband. Petition signed.
Did anybody complain when Kcom put poles all over Hedon? I think not!
It’s not just a few poles, Peter, it’s lots of them!
When KCom put poles up we didn’t have ductwork underground
If a street signs not to accept ms3 service are the poles then classed as infrastructure if so against planning
At the moment, only 21 signatures showing from Beverley and Holderness on:
