Hedon best-dressed home/business for Jubilee #HM70

Get your Hedon place dressed up for the Queen’s #PlatinumJubilee #HM70….

Best Dressed Home/Shop Competition

Residents and business owners in Hedon are asked to decorate homes and businesses in red, white and blue in time for the town’s Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations Thursday 2 June – Sunday 5 June 2022. The last time such a request to decorate homes went out, was during the VE Day 75 celebrations and the town responded magnificently – albeit this was in 2020 during the lockdown restrictions imposed as part of the pandemic precautions. Whilst Covid-19 has not gone away, the potential for decorating homes and streets is much greater.

The bunting has already gone up in Hedon town centre and some early birds have already started the rollout of decorations. Remember to take photographs of your decorations.

RESIDENTS are invited to get involved in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations by decorating their homes in RED, WHITE and BLUE for June.

A COMPETITION is being held by Hedon Town Council to find the BEST DECORATED PLACE with a small prize to be won. Local pubs, businesses, and care homes are likely to ‘dress up’ too.

Hedon Town Council asks that you send ONE BEST PHOTO of your decorations to email townclerk@hedon.gov.uk by Friday 10 June 2022.
