THE PLAN to use the former Hedon post office as a delicatessen and hot food takeaway has been approved. The new premises will be allowed to open between the hours 8am and 6pm on any day.

There were no objections to the planning application. Indeed, it seems to have been extremely positively received by the public and planning authorities!

Conditions imposed by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council are typical for hot food places. Satisfactory measures have to be in place to control smells and fumes. Also to deal with noise and deal with food waste.

The applicant is also a director of the Luxe Steakhouse in Hedon.
