THE ALEXANDRA HALL is run by a Committee, formally constituted as the Hedon Community Centre Trust, and is a charitable organisation that provides and maintains the building.

The large hall and two smaller rooms at the building, are hired out and are currently used for a wide variety of activities such as martial arts training, keep-fit classes, meetings, rehearsal space, theatre productions, concerts, coffee mornings – there is a thriving ‘pop-in’ coffee morning that has been running at the hall each Wednesday morning for over 20 years – and a whole host of other events and functions.

The Hall, however, relies on its active volunteer Committee Members in order to keep the place running. The Chair of the Committee Valerie Wigglesworth has contacted the Hedon Blog with an appeal for new members to get involved and to play key roles within the organisation:

Alexandra HallThe Alexandra Hall Committee is finding it increasingly difficult to provide the level of supervision required to keep the Hall running as a viable concern for the future benefit of the residents of Hedon.

We are a non-profit making Charity (and is not run by the Hedon Town Council). We require the following additions to the Committee:-

♦ Secretary
♦ Treasurer
♦ and Additional Committee Members

If you can help please ring Valerie Wigglesworth (Chairman) Tel: 01482 890034 for further information.
