It’s Carols at the Station, Jim – but not as you know it!”

AN INFECTIOUS Christmas atmosphere will take over The Station Pub on Wednesday 19th December 2012 – the Carol Singers are back!

The Carol Singers are a group of regulars who come into the Souttergate pub every Wednesday – and every year at Christmas time they treat regulars and visitors to delightful medleys of well-known Christmas carols!

Rumour has it that one of the Carol Singers has some musical training!? But whatever the truth, this group are not normally singers – but when they do, they sing with such ‘gusto’ that the urge to join in is quite compelling: You just feel the urge to hum or sing along!

Don’t know or can’t remember the words to “Deck the Halls…” – no problem; song sheets are provided.

This is probably one of the most bizarre Christmas events each season in Hedon! There is usually a collection to support a good cause.

Jackie at the pub says it’s a lovely evening and one of the best nights of the year at the pub:

“Come in, have a pint (or a half) – and whether you sing or not – you will smile :-)”
