MESSAGE FROM HEDON MAYOR:
SUE AND I wish to thank all our friends for their kind donations of cakes, scones and buns towards our English Afternoon Tea, last Saturday 25th August, also Rebecca and Sally for all their work serving everyone throughout the afternoon.
Our grateful thanks must go to the local pubs/companies who donated perishable goods, tombola and raffle prizes, they were: The Station Hotel, Shakespeare Inn, Queens Head, Kolize, Haven Arms, Leedhams Fisheries, Kingstown Hotel, Holderness Grange, Andrew Little, Hair Riverside, Freshco and Moorfields, Asda Bilton, Coop Hedon, Rolling Pin, Insight, Fresh n Fruity.
We had two hours of sun during the afternoon then the heavens opened, but the tea, coffee and cakes continued to be served.
To all who bought raffle and tombola tickets and attended and hopefully enjoyed the day, thank you, we raised a fantastic total of £527 which will be donated to Bowel Cancer UK.
Jim and Sue Lindop
The final total, including £50 from the RAOB, was a cracking £650 🙂
Another generous donation from Ann Suggit so the total is now a fantastic £600
Just had a cheque sent from Merrywick Hall, £50 towards our total, many thanks, that makes the total £577
