A FOOD FEST comes to Hedon on Saturday 1st September 2012. EVENT NO LONGER ON THIS DATE – IT WILL BE HELD IN THE FUTURE.
Holderness Grange Lifestyle Village off Draper’s Lane is hosting the event – the first of its kind – that is dedicated to locally produced food and drink.

The Food Fest, with free admission, will be held on the ‘village green’ between 1pm and 5pm when visitors will be able to sample a range of delicious wares and watch local chefs demonstrate their culinary skills.
Tastings of everything from jams and chutney through to breads and olives, outdoor reared meats and delicious cakes will be on offer. There will also be a Recipe Tent where visitors and Holderness Grange residents will be encouraged to bring along their favourite recipes to share with others, and there will be entertainment for adults and children.
More than 20 local businesses are expected to take part in the event and there is still the opportunity for more to get involved. Any companies who would like to showcase their produce or drinks should contact Holderness Grange on 01482 896980.
The event will culminate in a barbecue, prepared by the Country Club at Holderness Grange, which starts at 5pm. Tickets for the barbecue can be purchased on the day.
Unfortunately this event has had to be postponed by the organisers due to many similar events being held around the same time.
