BUS AND RAIL passengers in the Hedon area will have the chance to comment about local services at a special Travel Surgery on Thursday 19th July 2012.
The event organised on behalf of East Riding of Yorkshire Council will be held onboard Bus It info bus from 10am until 2pm at Market Place, Hedon.
The Hedon Travel Surgery is part of a series of impartial regular events held throughout the region and is organised by specialist transport charity The City of Hull & Humber Environment Forum (CHEF). It gives the public an opportunity to make suggestions about anything to do with public and community transport whilst giving operators and East Riding of Yorkshire Council important feedback to improve the quality of the network.
It’s your chance to raise issues about routes, timetables, reliability, service quality, fares, suggestions for days out and much more. Information will be available about all operators including East Yorkshire Motor Service (EYMS) the main bus operator serving Hedon as well as HART – the local community transport operator, Northern Rail, First Hull Trains and First Transpennine Express.
You can also find out about concessionary bus passes for the elderly and disabled or make representations about bus stops. You don’t have to be a bus or train user and may just want to find out what services are out there or plan trips for the summer! We can help with impartial advice.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is keen to reach people throughout the county. CHEF has worked closely with Hedon Town Council who kindly agreed to provide the location for the event.
‘The Hedon Travel Surgery enables you to find out about local bus and train services on your doorstep as well as make comments and suggestions about how we can improve the network. You can also find out about Home to School Transport.’ said Adam Fowler, Community Environment Officer, CHEF.
Free, all welcome. No appointment necessary.
