THE YORKSHIRE POST’S quirky columnist and celebrity poet Ian McMillan has admitted that he has never been to Hedon!
Tucked away in his Yorkshire Post column on Wednesday 2nd November 2011 we have evidence of Ian McMillan’s lack of knowledge and investigative mis-prowess when he admitted:
“…there are places in Yorkshire I’ve not visited yet. Bramley. Hedon. Slingsby…”
Argh! There we have it! The man who is famous as TV’s Investigative Poet has never discovered the delights of our fair town!

I see Ian McMillan attended the opening event at Inmans Primary School on Monday – and even wrote a poem called ‘The Hedon Pump’. Great Stuff!
