Hedon ‘Man Made Noise’ release new album!

MAN-MADE NOISE – a band which the BBC reports is from Hedon – have produced a new album Man Survives with some of the  backing vocals being recorded at St Augustines Church. A promotional video has been made in the town.

The band will be launching the new album at a gig at the FRUIT venue in Hull’s Humber Street on Saturday 11th June 2011. Cost £5 (which includes a downloadable copy of the album).

    The Hull Daily Mail tells us that Terry Dunn from the band wrote Glamorous Cake Stall Holder in honour of Amy Black the town’s renowned opera singer who died suddenly in November 2009 of heart failure.

    Terry had met Amy at a jumble sale where she was raising money for charity by selling cakes. Hence the song title. Glamorous Cake Stall Holder is on the album, but Terry is releasing an acoustic version of the song to raise money for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

  2. Man-Made Noise have let me know that the album is called Man Survives with the opening track called Glamorous Cake Stall Holder.
