POLICE IN HEDON have been contacted following an appeal regarding an apparent attempt accosting in the town on Sunday 09 January.

A press release issued by Humberside Police reports that a local 17-year-old boy went to Hedon Police Station this morning (Thursday 13 January) after seeing the reports in the local media. He has informed police he was in the vehicle involved in the incident and it would appear to have been a misunderstanding.

Police will now be speaking to the other people from the car and provide suitable advice and officers are satisfied no further witnesses are required.

The family of the boy involved in the incident has been informed.

  1. Really funny prank to play. Hope all the people in the car are suitably punished. As a parent of a 7 year old this incident frightened the life out of me and my son.
