THE TOWN HALL currently displays the amount of charity funds raised during the course of the outgoing town Mayor’s year in office. Unfortunately the figures are out by £100 based on the itemised amounts given.
The amount displayed on the noticeboard outside the Town Hall gives a grand total of £1,990 raised.
However my trusty calculator based on the itemised figures give a total of £2,090.
Oh dear! It seems an extra ‘1’ was added to the item ‘Donation’ which should have been only £34 giving correct figures of:

Of course it is important that this error does not detract from the sterling efforts made by the Mayor’s office to raise monies for good causes. And congratulations are offered to all those involved in this important work.
