photo_4396_20090206Schools in the East Riding, including Inmans Primary School in Hedon have been warned to spend excess funding by the end of the financial year or risk losing it!

Last year £23,000 was reclaimed from Inmans.

Apparently, reclaimed funds are re-distributed to more needy schools. Whilst there are undoubtedly some merits in this redistribution of wealth – there is, however, the risk that schools might be encouraged to spend excess funds in haste raising the risks of possible ‘careless’ or unwise expenditure.
