Your 52 Week Photography Challenge this Week 6 is THE RULE OF THIRDS
Rule of Thirds.
Learn and then show in a photograph the ‘rule of thirds’.
Advanced: Your photo should use the rule to demonstrate drama and interest.
The rule of thirds is a composition method in photography where a subject is placed on the left, right, bottom or top third of an image, allowing the space to guide a viewer’s eyes and highlight the subject.
Following the approach, you imagine the scene through the viewfinder as a 3×3 grid and place your main subjects at or near any of the intersecting grid points. On some cameras, you can enable an electronic grid to aid your composition. Like all such photography ‘rules’, the thirds method is actually only a guide.
