A YELLOW ALERT for heavy rain in our area has been issued by the Met Office.
A major Atlantic storm is set to move across the UK over the next 24 hours. A spell of persistent heavy rainfall is likely to spread across northern parts of England during Monday 28th October 2013.
Strong to gale force west or northwest winds could also develop during Monday morning.
The public should be aware of the potential for surface water flooding.
