P.C. BOB PYLE is once again urging residents to remain vigilant about burglars!
“We are still suffering from insecure burglaries in Hedon. Overnight 4th Sept 2013, entry was gained into a house on Inmans Estate via an insecure conservatory window, a handbag and electrical goods stolen. The hand bag was subsequently located on the old rail track towards Staithes Road.
“The same night several residents of the estate were awoken by persons in their gardens however most of these were not reported until the following day.
“Could I ask that residents RING 101 to report any thing suspicious ‘at the time’ to assist us in catching these people.
“The Neighbourhood Policing Team team have officers on cycles working until the early hours to try to apprehend the offenders, however we still need residents to be more vigilant.”
Please spread the word amongst your neighbours about the importance of reporting suspicious activity. Whilst we live in a relatively low-crime area, it is important that we work together to ensure that this remains the case.
