SOUTH HOLDERNESS Cricket Club’s (SHCC) Under 13’s team hosted Hornsea CC at Middle Lane, Hedon on a sunny Wednesday evening (1st May 2013) in a Match Sponsored by the Heron Foods Group Ltd. The SHCC youngsters registered an easy 100 run success, to help kick-start their season.
B. Marson top scored for the Hornsea seasiders with 10 not out in their 62 all out reply, when fine performances on the bowling front enabled Harry Giles to finish with 3 for 8 in his two overs and by Lewis Hunt’s figures of 2 for 2, plus a good ‘run out’.
Earlier, the Hedon side totalled 162 for 1 in their 20 overs. After fine efforts from both of them, the batting honours went to Liam Colclough (23 no) being well supported by Luke Ingram with his undefeated 18, in their big total.
