THE HEDON BLOG and HU12 Online are both part of a new Geo-Location Project.
The HypARlocal project is being organised by Talk About Local and involves ‘geo-tagging’ articles with the location of the subject of that story. So an article about St Augustine’s Church will be marked, or geo-tagged, on a Google Map at the location of the Church.
The project is about exploring how mobile phones and tablet computers and other hand-held devices can be used to find stories associated with a particular street or location.
As an example of what can be done, we’ve published a page on the Hedon Blog which indicates certain articles that have been geo-tagged in this way.
