HULL CITY COUNCIL is leading on writing a Joint Waste Management Development Plan Document in collaboration with the East Riding Council.
This Plan will identify:
- The waste issues that are most important.
- The options for waste management facilities in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
- How waste is managed sustainably.
- How many waste management facilities we will need up to 2028 and where they will go.
- What guidance we need so that we can make planning decisions for waste related
- planning applications.
Officers from Hull City Council will be attending the Hedon Library tomorrow (Friday 23rd March 2012), between 1pm and 3pm, to answer any questions on the Joint Waste Development Plan Document.
This event gives people the opportunity to give an opinion on The Joint Waste Management Document, and the on- line document at http://www.target45plus.org.uk gives the same, although it is a tick box exercise with the questions leading to answer yes to all, for opponents of incineration and or supporters of HOTI, please emphasise that you do not want The Waste Contract awarding to any company that will be building an incinerator.
It may well be that that this is a Joint Waste Consultation, but I subscribe to East Riding County Council and suggest that they take a leading role in this exercise at Hedon.
Hull City Council Officers do not represent me and I sincerely hope that they never will.
