PEOPLE HAVE SENT IN COMMENTS saying that the Yorkshire Water Smells have made them physically sick; Asthmatics have complained of breathing difficulties !
We want to collect and investigate these stories to find out if the smells have – or do – pose any threat to health.
If you have had an unpleasant experience and are willing to share it – then please e-mail hedonblog@gmx.com – or even send us in a video report of your experience via a link to your YouTube!
As Bri was saying….this is really affecting us. We have to keep windows and doors closed when its really hot because of the smell. It makes you feel sick, gives you headache and tight chest. I even woke up at 3am a few days ago because of the smell:( Its getting bad when it wakes you up:(. We don`t live in headon, preston or paull……….if its this bad for us at the marfleet end of east hull I dread to think how bad it is there. The residents there have my utmost sympathy.
Just read your block about the smell caused by yorkshire water. This has been going on for several years but has been getting worse in recent years. It happens all the year round but warm weather makes it worse.
This week it typically starts just before tea time and continues well in to the early hours of the morning.
Head Ackes, Feeling Sick, Swore throats and breathing problems are what my family have all experienced. For me its a swore throat when the small starts, followed by breathing problems at around 10pm and the symptoms disappear in the morning until the smell starts again next day.
For the Wife its head ackes and Feeling sick mostly but given we are eating when the smell is at its worst, you can easily see why that is a symptom.
With temperatures during the summer as high as they are, not being able to open windows without feeling those side effects had led to our summers over the past several years being very uncomfortable ones. Now it is starting to affect our heath and all the assurances it would get better have proven false.
I want the place closed, they said when they opened it that it would not cause a problem and that is been proven untrue, time to close it and fine yorkshire water for putting my families health at risk.
