RESURFACING WORK: Fletchergate, Baxtergate and St Augustine’s Gate in Hedon town centre are due to be resurfaced over the coming weeks as part of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s road improvement programme.
The work is scheduled to commence on Sunday, 19th June 2011 and expected to be completed over seven consecutive Sundays (weather permitting) excluding Sunday, 26 June for the Mayor’s Civic parade.
It will consist of a new surface course with structural carriageway repairs and other ancillary work when it is needed.
Due to the narrow widths of the roads, it will be necessary to close these roads during the working hours of 8am and 6pm in order for the work to be completed safely. Diversions will be in place but some delays can be expected.
Pedestrian access to all properties, businesses and emergency services will be maintained at all times, with vehicular access maintained wherever possible.
