KINGSTON  LAPIDARY Gem & Mineral Society are the latest group to display at Hedon Museum.

For those of you who didn’t know – I didn’t! – then lapidary is defined thus:

lap•i•dar•y

of or pertaining to the cutting, polishing or engraving of precious stones

So, now you know that, you will appreciate much more the exhibition of precious stones collected and transformed into beautiful pieces of jewellery by members of the society.

The exhibition can be seen at Hedon Museum every Saturday and Wednesday, between 10am and 4pm, until the 6th October 2010.
