hedon_20091019_5178HEDON IS TO be featured in Yorkshire Life magazine from next Friday 20th November 2009. Hedon Church Travelling Teds

GusTinaTravels

Display showing teddy's travels

GusTheTeddyTHE ST AUGUSTINE’S Dickensian Market was a roaring success yesterday. Hundreds attended the event which saw stall-holders dressing in Victorian costume. However it was Gus and Tina the ‘travelling teds’ which really caught this blogger’s imagination.

Gus and Tina are the well-travelled teddy bears that have been photographed across the globe as part of efforts to raise money for the St Augustine’s restoration funds.

Holiday makers can book Gus or his latterly arrived sister Tina for a fortnight (£5), weekly(£2.50) or daily (£1) trip. The only stipulation is the requirement to send back a photograph showing the teddy bear enjoying itself on holiday!
