Harry in action on HumberSPECTATORS at Hull Marina, The Deep and along the River Humber had a smashing view over the weekend to see 15-year-old Harry Robinson from Hedon win his latest round in the P1 AquaX jet ski rookie class national championships.

Hundreds of people lined the banks of the Humber for the high-action, adrenaline-pumping water sports competition which included Grand Prix of the Humber power boat racing as well as elite riders on jet ski. The loudest cheers were for the local riders which included Harry, a student at South Holderness Technology College, who is already a leading light in his jet ski class.

After his first race Harry commented on the ‘flat water’ of the Humber on the day which has an impact on the overall ride – but it certainly meant for some high-capacity speeds for his number 53 Kawasaki 800 jet ski with photographers out in force catching some dramatic footage of the action.

Harry, who along with his Dad Steve Robinson (who is also a world-leading AquaX racer) had cut short his family holiday in Cyprus in order to compete over the weekend, said after the event that it was fantastic to win in front of his home crowd.

Harry is winning new fans for AquaX in Hedon and across the country and can be followed on Twitter at @harryracing53
