“The Polegate Scandal! No forcing of telegraph poles on our communities!”
A Public Meeting has been called for Wednesday 29 November at Hedon Town Hall for a 6 pm start.
“The Polegate Scandal! No forcing of telegraph poles on our communities!” is the title of the meeting which will see Going Underground campaigners give feedback to interested town residents on the campaign so far and crucially will provide an opportunity for more residents to join in the campaign.
I live in Hull and we are with you too. We don’t want anymore poles to go up. I’ve signed the petition and would love to be able to attend the meeting but I’m unwell.
I am 100% behind stopping anymore poles in the Hull and surrounding area being erected. M

My name’s Lizzy – I look after an arts group in Birmingham. We’ve recently had exactly the same issue as yourselves re. Poles. We were so upset, we made a parliamentary petition that’s gone live today!

I’ve made sure to include an action for poles to be removed from areas, not just stop future poles going up.
Our local MP has also been helping us – do you have a helpful local MP? Perhaps we can get them to talk to each other to support?
If you want to drop me a line on the included mail – I think there are lots of pockets of people having the same issue all across the country and it would be helpful to come together!

Hi Lizzy – we adopted your first petition in September and obtained over 4,000 signatures. However when it closed on 6th October, we opened a new one at https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/647970
This was based on wording used by two of our 4 local MPs.

Did you not know there is a place called Polegate in East Sussex,I object to Yorkshire using it in a detremental way
