Collaborative Artwork by John Parks and Kathryn Ashcroft
Artists John Parks and Kathryn Ashcroft in collaboration.
THE CREATIVE DUO of artists John Parks and daughter Kathryn Ashcroft are on the last day of their endearing exhibition. This ends the season at Hedon Museum for 2023.
NO ONE WANTS a mouse in the house, right? Well, you might just change your mind after seeing this latest exhibition!
Accomplished artists John Parks and his daughter, former Theatre Designer Kathryn Ashcroft, are presenting their “Collaborative Artwork” an exhibition at the museum. Amongst the great work displayed is a selection of Kathryn’s Mouse-in-the-House figures that bring an element of charm and humour to the exhibition. One exhibit of a wall and skirting board is actually house mouse headquarters with little mice popping their heads out doing all manner of whimsical antics. You have to peek behind the wall to discover all the hidden little mice rooms. So you never know, you just might be bringing home some little mice visitors after all!
Hailing from Hedon, both artists naturally have their own depictions of Hedon streets which are just delightful. There is a wide variety of fine art pieces from both artists. And most of the work is being offered for sale.
When in Hedon on an open day look for the boards on Watmough’s Arcade off the main street St. Augustine’s Gate which direct you to the museum entrance.
