THE #HEDFEST22 CARNIVAL PARADE on Friday 3 June at 1pm will bring a taste of New Orleans style festivity to Hedon! A Pop-up Parade station at Market Hill will help you get ready for the carnival fun!

Along with local groups, Carnival Arts are bringing giant puppets and outfits to help people take part in the parade. If you, your family or your organisation would like to join in by dressing up or helping to wear/operate a puppet, then come along on the day from 11am on Market Hill. Carnival Arts will be there at their Pop-up Parade station to help you try on costumes and help get kitted out.

To make sure that there are costumes for you and to secure your place on the parade, you can book by emailing Hull Carnival Arts via email at hullcarnivalarts@outlook.com.

Joining the Carnival Parade in this way will be great fun and it’s suitable for all ages, although children would need to be supervised by an adult at the Pop-up Parade station.

The Carnival Parade starts at 1pm on Friday 3 June 2022 from Market Hill/Ivy Lane.

THEME FOR PARADE: Royals and Rulers – Real & Mythical

Dress to the theme! Enjoy the atmosphere, mood and sounds of the carnival as the parade snakes its way around Hedon. A touch of Rio de Janeiro comes to our ancient town!

Parade Route: Church Lane, New Road, St Augustine’s Gate, right into Magdalen Gate, right onto Baxtergate, right at Fletchergate. Along New Road. Left onto Drapers Lane and Far Bank.
