PLAN FOR FORMER PRESTON POST OFFICE: A planning application has been submitted to convert the former Preston Post Office into a hot-food takeaway and an off-license. The former Post Office in the village closed in September 2021.
The application plan for the former Preston Post Office, on behalf of the owners of the property, will split the ground floor into two, one a retail unit (“convenience off license” according to the application form), the other a hot-food takeaway. A new frontage for the building with two shop fronts is proposed.
The planning application (validated 23 March 22) is now open for public and consultee comments.
The application documents are available to view at the East Riding Public Access website and search for reference 21/04483/PLF.
We try to keep local people informed of planning applications relevant to them. If you would like to volunteer to help Hedon Blog do this, contact rayduffill@hedonblog.co.uk – involves researching the ERYC Public Access website and attendance at some meetings.
