THE HEDON SHUTTLE BUS number 84 which runs on a Wednesday will remain in operation during 2022 – 2023. This was one of the headlines from the Hedon Town Council’s recent budget meeting.
Service 84 has been jointly developed by Hedon Town Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council and is jointly funded by the two. The bus itself is operated by Hart Community Transport.
The service aims to provide opportunities for residents to travel from Hedon’s outer areas into the town centre on Wednesdays (the town’s Market day). The service encourages easier access to Market Place and other shops and services in the town centre. It is also useful for those visiting doctor’s surgeries or who have other important appointments in the town centre.
