Give a good home to a knitted Angel!
ANGELS are associated with good messages, and knitted angels have been made to share good Christmas spirit!
With Christmas fast approaching, the Hedon Methodist Church faith community in Hedon is striving to wish everyone a happy – and blessed – Christmas. From this week, as you pass the Church on the junction of Church Lane and New Road in the town, it will be hard not to see the Christmas packs hanging from the church fence railings.
Inside each Christmas pack, is a message from Rev. Helen Hickson, a list of activities for you to join in with during December, a Wordsearch, and a knitted angel to give a home to.
The Coordinator of the project, Janet Forth, said:
“I would like to thank groups and individuals linked to the Methodist Church that have knitted a whole host of angels and put the packs together. Earlier this year when we were in lockdown, we provided knitted crosses at Easter from the same railings. These were well received and many people gave positive feedback. We hope that in a similar way the people of Hedon will get involved again and find the contents of the angel pack helpful this Christmas time.”
