CRANSWICK COUNTRY FOODS have plans to introduce two new areas of Community Woodland to the North and East of their Preston site. In a consultation leaflet, the company says that the two plots of land have different characteristics that would provide a baseline for developing the woodland.

The two plots are land to the North and land to the South of Neat Marsh Road bounded to the West of Wyton Road. The Community Woodland development would create a maintained buffer zone to the East between the Cranswick production facility and the village itself.

The company has invited residents to give their opinions on the opportunities this might provide and to raise any concerns. These can be conveyed to the Preston Parish Council.

The Community Woodland development proposal is part of a wider planning application currently being processed by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
