ABOUT ME

I was born in Hedon, living my early years down St. Augustine’s Gate and my earliest memory is looking longingly out of the front room window at the puppies in the pet shop!

I was educated at Hedon County Primary School and then South Holderness Secondary School before moving onto Hull College. I work for one of the Big Four Accounting Firms, where I have worked for the last 27 years specialising in Trust accounts.

I am married to a firefighter and have two grown sons and two dogs.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

In my spare time I am actively involved in the local community as a Committee member, Secretary, Treasurer and Bookings Officer for the Alexandra Hall, of which I have been involved with since early 2014. I am also a volunteer delivery driver for the Hedon Community Food Bank, serving the vulnerable and those in need in Hedon and the surrounding area. I have done this through the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to do so going forward.

AIMS

Being Independent is about putting people before politics. I want to be able to understand your issues and concerns and take them to the Town Council, whilst representing you, the residents, in helping to keep Hedon the thriving market town that it has always been, balancing moving forward with the times whilst also protecting its heritage.

The Election for one Hedon Town Councillor takes place on Thursday 4 November 2021. There are two candidates SAM BANKS and LEWIS KIRKBY. Polling will take place from 7am – 10pm.
