SUMMER 2021 is looking pretty cool as far as local events and local entertainment are concerned! But do share the details of your event with HU12 Online. It’s still one of the best ways to reach a large local audience!

Thorngumbald Scarcrow Maker

Paull Car Boot Sales look set to return on Saturday 3 July. Held on the sports field in Paull, the Summer July sale has traditionally been held the same morning of the first day of the Thorngumbald Scarecrows. And that is the case this year. Expect to see scarecrow displays across the village from 10am. We will bring you further information about both events soon.

At the end of July, the Preston Show will take place. The show on Saturday 31 July is held on the grounds of The Nag’s Head on Sproatley Road in the village. Competitions and exhibitions of fruit, vegetables, cookery, wine, art and photography, are the mainstay of the show. However, the charity and other stalls, the fairground style attractions, the entertainment on a central stage, make the show a great all-around family event.

Music and entertainment look to feature prominently in local events. Performers and singers will be back entertaining in the local pubs. And whilst there is no Hedfest Hedon Festival this year, many of the local pubs will be undoubtedly keeping the ‘Fest idea alive with their own local concerts. Also, on Saturday 21 August a charity concert will be taking place in the playing field of Ketwell Lane in support of Ruben’s Voice.

Music and live performances – and maybe even ‘crowds’ – set to return to the local scene.

Do keep HU12 Online ‘What’s On?’ page updated with your event. Posting about your event on Facebook or Nextdoor is quite often not enough – there is a much wider audience to reach out to.

With the Coronavirus threat diminishing, and notwithstanding Covid-19 variant surges, our ‘What’s On?’ page hopes to build back up to being the only comprehensive listings of local events in the area.
