Hedon Annual Town Meeting

OPEN TO REGISTERED ELECTORS in the town, the Hedon Town Council organised Annual Meeting takes place on Thursday 15 April 2021. The meeting starts at 7.15pm and will be held online via remote access (Zoom at: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85488194022?pwd=RXpTTWtUaklEY3RhQmsvd3A1dlRJdz09).

The meeting will receive reports from the Mayor and the Chairs of Hedon Town Council’s Committees. In an OPEN FORUM, residents can raise issues and ask questions relating to the Town. 

  1. Welcome by Town Mayor
  2. To agree and adopt the minutes of the last (2019) Annual Town Meeting
  3. To consider any matters from the minutes
  4. To receive the Town Mayor’s Annual Report
  5. To receive the Annual Reports from Chairs:
    • Planning Committee – Councillor John Dennis
    • Property Committee – Councillor Sarah Rommell
    • Finance & General Purposes Committee – Councillor Steve Gallant

There will then be an opportunity for residents of Hedon to ask questions on matters relating to the business of the town. If questions are duplicated then only one question on each subject will be taken. To allow more residents to take part in the Open Forum please send in one question only per resident.

SEND QUESTIONS AND ISSUES FOR THE OPEN FORUM TO THE TOWN CLERK IN WRITING OR BY EMAIL NO LATER THAN THURSDAY 8 APRIL 2021 (include your name and address).

The Town Hall would normally be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. But do check first by telephone regarding the current COVID-19 restrictions and how they affect the Town Hall.

Notes: The Annual Town Meeting is a public meeting. It is expected to be held over Zoom which provides opportunities for greater online attendance and participation. Councillors attend the Annual Meeting as members of the public. The Annual General Meeting of Hedon Town Council is a different council meeting traditionally combined with the annual Mayormaking in May.
