Humberside and South Yorkshire Cadets have the honour and distinction of being able to march through Hedon with colours raised and band playing.
Hedon has a proud association with the army Cadet Force who have been granted the Freedom of Hedon since 1960 and exercise this honour normally every two years. The last Freedom parade was in 2013 and before that in 2010.
On Sunday 12th July 2015 the cadets, band members, instructors and officers are expected to assemble at Hedon Market Place from 10:20am.
After an inspection by Hedon Mayor Councillor Neil Black and officers, there will be a parade through the town, followed by a church service at St Augustine’s Church. Following the service the cadets will parade through the town once again to deliver the formal salute to the Hedon Mayor, officers and civic guests.
