Hedon Scarecrow Walk – Off we go!
Ok, ok, the binoculars might be a bit extreme! …but this is the Scarecrow Hunter’s Geek Kit!
Don’t worry about carrying drinks around with you on Saturday. Refreshments will be available at the Scarecrow Café at the Hedon Methodist Church from 10am – 1pm.
And a Scarecrow Fête (Saturday 13th September 2014 10am – 3pm) will be held at Holderness Grange Lifestyle Village where 28 – yes, that’s 28 !!! – scarecrows can be spotted. There will be a bouncy castle (weather permitting) and a number of Charity Stalls in the Country Club (central building) including:
- Victoria Merrit who is raising money to go on a fundraising cycle challenge around Cuba which in turn will support female cancer charities;
- Blossom Family Children’s Community Centre and Youth Club in Beverley;
- National Gulf Veterans and Families Association who will be bringing vintage military uniforms to display and try on;
- Yorkshire Mobility from Hedon will be there to give information to those needing mobility aids.
PS: Those looking for Astley Close (not marked on the Area 1 map) for Scarecrow Number 3 – it’s a street off Robson Way.
