GARDENERS in the town have the rest of June to make up their mind about entering this year’s Hedon in Bloom Competition 2014.
This event held every year is judged by BBC Radio Humberside’s gardening guru Doug Stewart. This year there are categories for Best Front Garden (large or small), Best Back Garden (large or small), Best Community Garden and Best Allotment.
Get your entry forms from the Hedon Town Hall. Spotted a neighbour’s nice garden whilst out and about around town? Pop a poster or an entry form through the owners door – encourage them to enter!
Closing date for entries – Thursday 3rd July 2014. Judging will be Saturday 5th July.
PS: Don’t forget to take some smashing photographs of your Hedon gardens, plants and flowerbeds – and send your photos in to Hedon Town Council for possible use in the Hedon Town Calendar next year!
