PLANS are underway to publish a Hedon Calendar for 2015 – and the twelve images in the calendar will be chosen from amongst those sent in by members of the public.
The Hedon Calendar for 2014 was the first project of Hedon Town Council’s new Events Committee and the profits from that venture were used to establish a fund to arrange a programme of community events to be held throughout this year.
There has already been a coach trip to York National Railway Museum organised in February, and this month the Hedon Baking Competition attracted lots of marvellous entries! Amongst other events being scheduled are family Treasure Hunts, a Scarecrow Walk, Fun Run and Bikers Day event.
The photography competition is now open! Councillor Di Storr from Hedon Town Council has advised that digital images for the calendar need to be sent in JPEG format, preferably in Landscape (horizontal) style and e-mailed (a good idea to mark the message subject as ‘Photo Competition’) to townclerk@hedon.gov.uk by the end of June 2014.
There are no entry restrictions other than photos being in and around Hedon.
