Hedon Library Feb 2013“Dementia is one of the main causes of disability later in life, ahead of cancer, cardiovascular disease and stroke.”

A FREE Dementia Awareness Course is taking place at Hedon Library on Monday 27th January 2014 from 10am – 3pm. The course is being described as suitable for all those who want to know more about supporting someone who is living with dementia.

For further information, and to book one of the limited spaces, please contact the Library staff by calling in at 31 St Augustines Gate, Hedon, or on telephone 01482 897651.

It is believed that there are nearly 8,000 people in Hull and East Riding living with dementia. Thousands more are affected through looking after a relative with dementia.
