MARKET PLACE will suffer a blow on Christmas Eve 2013 with the loss of another independent trader when The Potters Cabin closes down.
The Cabin opened for a preview of what it had to offer last November 2012 at Hedon’s Christmas Lights switch on. It opened properly for business in December. The shop offered something very different and unique in the area and was the brainchild and dream of owner Chris Phillips. The shop and what it had to offer was reviewed by Linda Hinchcliffe last year and provides a wonderful insight into its products and services.
The shop’s Facebook Page posted the following message recently:
“The Potters Cabin in the Market Place Hedon will be closing down on Christmas eve. Chris is hoping to run it on a smaller scale from home if she can get her kiln up and running. This page and the twitter page will be kept up and running to keep everyone informed with what Chris decides to do. Please keep supporting Chris as this was a dream that is now fading…”
