HEDON & District Chrysanthemum Society will be holding its 65th Annual Show this year on Saturday 2nd November 2013 in The Alexandra Hall, Hedon.
The show will display Chrysanthemums, vegetables, crafts and cookery. There are competitions for everyone and all age groups, including the best vegetable grown by an under 16-year-old. The craft classes include entrants who submit paintings, knitting and cross-stitch amongst other things. The cookery section usually shows various cakes, fruit scones. jams and preserves!
If any one would like to have a go and enter the cookery competition, a craft item or something they have grown, please contact the Society on 01482 898724 for a schedule or advice. It only costs 20p per exhibit.
Public viewing at this traditional family event is from 2pm – 4pm. Please come along to see all the lovely exhibits at this charming local show. Share a drink with us at viewing time. The Deputy Mayor, Councillor John Dennis will be awarding prizes at 4pm.
All money raised is put toward staging next years show.
Note for competitors: Staging is from 5pm-9pm on Friday 1st November and 8am – 11am on Saturday the day of the show.
