OUR COVERAGE of the South Holderness 2013 cricket season has been unrivalled (except by South Holderness Cricket Club themselves) because of the efforts of our correspondent Malc ‘Mr Cricket’ Ripley! We are extremely grateful to Malc for sharing his passion and enjoyment of the game with the rest of us this season.
What we’ve done with cricket, we would like to do with other subject matters. Are you Hedon-based and share a passion for sports (football, rugby, darts perhaps?), arts or history? Perhaps your interest is photography, computers or food and drink? Maybe you regularly attend events and entertainment in the area and could write us reviews?
Whatever your local Hedon interest – we invite you to share it on the Hedon Blog! You can send us regular news and reports by e-mail, or we can include you as an author on the Hedon Blog so you can write and publish your own articles and photographs. We can train you how to do that – it’s easy!
Also, over on HU12 Online, we are looking for village correspondents who can help us share news and views from the rest of Holderness. Could you capture what’s going on in your village, and share it with the rest of us!? Again full-training can be given.
We can’t pay you for your writing efforts – but we can guarantee that your work will be read by a growing local audience!
Our page views or ‘hits’ for 2013 indicates the size of our local audience:
January | 15,344 |
February | 12,463 |
March | 15,733 |
April | 18,270 |
May | 16,637 |
June | 26,711 |
July | 18,619 |
August | 17,007 |
… we will soon be approaching our half-a-million page-views milestone! See the Stats at the very bottom of the side-bar.

We’ve reached half a million page views – albeit un-noticed! At 6.07am today our stats showed 506,364.
