Swishing at The Station – get a new outfit for free!?

SWISHING… Could this be the new way to shop and get yourself a FREE new makeover?

The Station on Souttergate, Hedon is pioneering the concept of Swishing in the pub for the first time in Hedon on Thursday 18th July 2013.

Swishing sounds a great idea for recession-busting shopping! The concept is pretty simple – you donate some of your quality clothes, shoes, handbags, jewellery, etc, that you no longer use, and in return you get a voucher or tokens for each which you swap for new items!

The idea is not to be a jumble sale, but to ‘trade’ in quality goods only. This sounds great – clear your wardrobe out, and get a new one in return!

It’s all a good and ethical way to trade, become an Eco-fashionista – and it doesn’t involving spending any money! Oooo – Shopping suddenly seems fun again!

It would seem the success of this will be in the organisation of the event – you’ll need to have time to drop your stuff off first, some browsing time to see what’s on offer, and then an official start-time – and then stand back and see who reaches those designer high-heels first!

The Swishing event at The Station is limiting the number of items to donate and obtain to five per person.
