The heavenly beach by Leah Maslen (aged 8)
Here I stand all alone,
On a sandy beach and shiny stones,
The waves are licking my toes,
My dad is having a little doze,
I can see the seals off far away,
I would like to jump in and come play,
I can see the shells shimmering in the sea,
When I listen very hard it seems they’re calling out to me.
