HEDON YOUTH GROUP has been busy fundraising in recent weeks.
The Group raised around £500 during their fundraising activities at the big Hedon Co-op in December 2012. As well as a display on the shop window and donation boxes at the tills, the store donated a £50 food hamper which the group was able to raffle off.
The Group also received £500 from the Yorkshire Water Community Fund in December, and members were busy selling buns at the Hedon Christmas Lights event.
The young people who attend the Group also contribute to the upkeep of the group themselves by paying 50p when they attend the Friday sessions – this goes towards covering the rent of their Red Cross hut meeting place on Sheriff Highway.
