LOCAL MP GRAHAM STUART is making a return to Hedon on Saturday 9th June 2012 for one of his regular Street Surgeries.

The MP for Beverley and Holderness, will be holding the outdoor surgery between 10:30am and midday at the Market Place (weather permitting).

No appointment is necessary. All residents are invited to come and speak with Graham about any issues or concerns they may have, or just stop by to say hello.

Graham Stuart’s strapline on his website and campaigning material is “Working hard for Beverley and Holderness” and no one can doubt that the MP is indeed very active in the life of the constituency and in Parliament.

His recent campaign to convince the Government to change its mind over the implementation of a caravan tax – which would have seen 20% VAT added to the sale of static caravans and led to local jobs being lost – was partially successful. A VAT rate of 5% will be added, but not until April 2013.

Whether you agree with the politician’s Conservative political views or not, the campaign will have certainly won him many new supporters from those whose jobs and livelihoods may have been threatened.
