THE KINGSTOWN HOTEL officially re-opened on Saturday (11th February 2012) following a £364,000 transformation into a Fayre & Square, which created 15 new jobs for the town.
To ensure the new-look Hull Road pub kicked off with a bang, a free family fun day was held from 12-4pm. Guests were treated to entertainment in the form of balloon modellers, face painters and jugglers.
General manager of the Kingstown Hotel Stuart Plumb said: “The Kingstown Hotel has really got off to a fantastic start and it was great to see the pub packed with people of all ages enjoying our fun fair style activities.”
The pub now has a new menu featuring Fayre & Square classics such as the Mighty Fisherman’s Feast, Steak & Bombardier Ale Pie and a ‘square’ shaped burger, adding a touch of fun. For the sweet toothed there is also an array of desserts including Choc-o-Monster Sundae and Cookie Dough Pizza.
