“Spring Forward, Fall Back”

BRITISH SUMMER TIME (BST) starts on the last Sunday in March. It begins at 1.00am on Sunday 27th March 2011 when the clocks are put forward to 2.00am.

British Summer Time operates from the last Sunday in March until the last Sunday in October.  An easy way to remember whether the clocks go backwards or forwards, is the US saying “Spring Forward, Fall Back”.

“Fall” is the US word for Autumn.
